Zamir Gotta
Russian television producer and producer
Iazamir Gotta[1] (born 1955 or 1956)[2] is a Russian television personality and producer.[3] He is best known as the travelling companion of American chef Anthony Bourdain on his Travel Channel TV show Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations.
Early life
Gotta is of Jewish and Crimean Tatar ancestry.[4] He was educated at Moscow State Pedagogical University, where he studied English, and taught the language in Moscow from 1983 to 1988.[5]
Career
Gotta began his career as a film producer working on American productions in Russia.
In 2006, he began working as a consultant for the New York-based Trident Media Group, and has produced episodes of Cities of the Underworld for the History Channel, and the Nova documentary Astrospies for PBS, both airing in 2008.[5]
