Education and Early Career
Phil Knight obtained his bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Oregon in 1959.
While studying at the university, he was a sprinter and was coached by Bill Bowerman. From 1957 to 1959, Knight achieved notable results in university competitions. In 1962, he earned a Master's degree from Stanford Graduate School of Business.
